Chanel Announces US Job Cuts

Luxury goods maker cites current economic challenges for the move.

In an effort to “protect the business,” Chanel is cutting 70 US jobs. The move represents roughly 2.5% of its total US workforce.  Chanel has 38,400 employees worldwide. The Americas represented about 20% of its total sales in 2023, with 28% from Europe, and 52% from Asia Pacific.  Current job cuts aim to reduce headcount and help the company adapt to current economic challenges.
